The Muzi Mavuso Art House – Also known as mmArtHouse is a private home of Muzi Mavuso, who is a passionate collector of contemporary art by young emerging artists. The ArtHouse looks to provide a lucrative platform for young artists and collectors to share their works with the public. Young curators will also have the opportunity to utilize the house for private exhibitions and art talks. mmArtHouse will be presents “the Path of GreatJoy” by GreatJoy Ndlovu.
Greatjoy Ndlovu was born in Bulawayo , Zimbabwe and is currently working at August House Studios in Johannesburg. He started painting at a tender age and later developed a passion at Cyrene High School in Matobo, Matabeleland South where he completed his secondary education. He specialises in paintings for people and other inanimate aesthetic cultural values of life in Africa.
GreatJoy’s solo Exhibition will see all his work translated onto a book called “Path of GreatJoy” written by Ntsikelelo Mzinbomvu. This book will also be launched at the exhibition. In this book Ntsikelelo looks to capture the stories of a person behind the art , his journey, success and struggles. He looks to do in a way that complements his art persona.
The 50 piece showcase of artworks and the book launch will both take place at the mmArtHouse in Craighall Park, which is a 100% black owned entity that boasts itself in providing a lucrative platform for young artists to get their works recognised and to make a descent living through their passion. “The Path to GreatJoy” book will be given out for free to those that buy his art pieces’s and will also be sold to those who are interested in art collections in a for of a book.
